Privacy notice
Mathnatic is a math-game website for children ages 5-10. Accounts are created and controlled by parents or guardians. Children do not receive their own login.
Information we use
Anonymous play stores game scores and preferences only in the browser on that device. A parent account uses the parent's email address, authentication identifier, and account settings. A child profile can contain a nickname, broad age range, preferred difficulty, game access, play-time setting, scores, and game history. We do not ask for a child's full name, exact birthday, email address, phone number, photo, school, or location.
Why we use it
We use this information to run the games, save progress, apply parent controls, provide purchased features, sync Cloud Family data, prevent misuse, respond to parent requests, and maintain the service. Mathnatic does not sell personal information or use child-profile information for targeted advertising.
Service providers
Clerk provides parent sign-in. Convex stores account and Cloud Family data. Stripe processes purchases and subscriptions; Mathnatic does not store payment card numbers. These providers process information under their own security and privacy terms.
Storage and retention
Anonymous and Local Family progress stays in browser storage unless a parent exports it. Cloud Family stores profiles and progress in Convex. After a Cloud Family subscription ends, cloud child profiles and progress remain read-only for 30 days so the parent can transfer or delete them, then they are scheduled for deletion. Account entitlements and records required for security, billing, tax, or legal obligations may be retained longer.
Parent choices
Parents can change child-profile settings, export an encrypted backup, delete profiles, transfer cloud progress to a device, or delete cloud progress. A parent PIN protects the parent area during child mode, but Clerk sign-in remains the account-level security control.
Children's privacy
Mathnatic is designed to minimize child data. Parents should use a general nickname rather than a full legal name. The account and billing features remain in test mode while parental notice, consent, support, and deletion procedures receive final operational and legal review.
Contact and requests
Verified operator contact details and a dedicated request channel will be published here before live billing or a full account launch.
